The Story:

It’s basic. We’re talking about the inspired flavor chefs get from bases and sauces from leading manufacturer Custom Culinary®. They empower creative chefs everywhere with global flavors and deep-rooted culinary expertise. But, the best innovation doesn’t happen by itself—it takes a village. It requires involvement and contribution from a broad spectrum, a cross-functional team comprising Custom Culinary® and their chain restaurant partners. So, Custom Culinary® worked with CSSI to launch a proprietary branded innovation process to build awareness for their unique capabilities and products, encouraging collaboration with their chain customers. The program formalized a process with roles and responsibilities to ensure participation and buy-in from the entire team. Once the process was fully developed and tested, we told the world about it with marketing tools and tactics to drive engagement. The process was so smart, we called it FlavorIQ™. Today, this proprietary branded innovation process is regarded as industry best practice. Really, really smart.
